The story of Ranginui and Papatuanuku

Ranganui is The Sky. The Māori legend says that Papatūānuku (The Ground) was torn away from Ranganui and formed the vault of the heavens. When Māori looked up at the sky, they saw Te Rā (The sun). Te Rā's journey was slowed down by Maui who caught Te Rā with a rope and slowed him down.

End Of Term Review

Cross Country
Cross Country was a very fun day for most of the students in T.I.S. All of the students gathered round to start their race filled up with energy and confidence "On Your Marks,Get Set,GO!" Mr Potaka yelled then he fired the starter gun then the group would run like crazy getting tripped up and the faster ones boosting ahead. It was a tiring run and everybody on their second lap was either walking or slowly jogging thats of course not including the faster ones were still running like there was no tomorrow and probably only the least bit tired. I remember when I finished my race I felt like I was going to throw up i'm glad Cross Country is over that stuff was tiring.

Science Fair
Ahh Science Fair one of the most annoying parts of the year. Everyone picks a topic and works for weeks to finish it everyone in the school has to do it and only a few people get a yellow sticker. Some people get gold, silver and bronze but only a small amount but only 1 person will get the "Best Year 7 Technology Science Fair" or "Best Year Seven Science Award" And the same for Year 8.
